Trilogy, was formed when I started getting into computer music. We decided to do a MIDI cover band. We felt we could play with fewer people and play just about any song we wanted, without be limited by the players. We were also disillusioned because of how difficult it was to find a decent drummer, that wasn’t already working with a band. We spent 2 years perfecting the Midi-tracks; making sure all the drums were down perfect, as well as any Bass or brass sections. We also recorded some backing harmonies and had a fairly good vocal sound. When we finally took the show out and started gigging, after performing for about four months, we got bored with the inability to jam during the tunes and broke up the band. Man, I hated playing with that computer! Although the songs sounded perfect every night, I just could never get the same feeling I got while playing with “human” musicians….
